LEIF INGE (NO)

Leif Inge is a multidisiplinary artist currently based in Oslo, but originally from Mid-West Norway. Leif Inge has worked across artistic fields for ≈ 30 years and exhibited his work internationally in art galleries from Shanghai to New York.
It is between the rooms Leif Inge operates. He has worked on site-specific landscape projects since the end of the nineties, including in the ice of frozen fjords and lakes, in (and with) peat, rock and wood.

Dotted Line Hestøya (2024)

Leif Inge’s spherical wood work “Dotted Line Hestøya” is a an example of the artists passion for creating something without adding something new to the environment he works in. For Leif Inge the place, in this case the forest and the trees, is the art material itself. Through repeating a simple minimalistic form, creating a pattern of a three dimensional curved line in the woodland, the work challenges our perspective and expectations of a forest landscape and leaves us contemplating our own relationship with nature.
